Lollapalooza 2025 Predictions and Rumors

You know what time it is…time to absolutely prematurely get obsessive over the possibilities of the Lollapalooza lineup list. The dates haven’t even officially been announced yet!

As per usual, we come up with these guesses based on our own research as well as intense sifting through the Lollapalooza Reddit Thread: Staged Haze will never take credit for everything listed below as the members of said thread do an incredible job sleuthing.

FIRST UPDATE – JANUARY 8, 2025 after the Bonnaroo lineup dropping.

FOURTH UPDATE – FEBRUARY 19, 2025 FOLLOWING THE OSHEAGA LINEUP DROP
FIFTH UPDATE – MARCH 11, 2025 FOLLOWING THE ARC LINEUP DROP

Post Malone – playing Wrigley Field in May

Halsey – Playing Chicago in June

John Summit – Playing Arc Music Festival at the end of August

HIGHLY LIKELY:

Avril Lavigne – Touring this summer and is on a few festival lineups, no Chicago date.

Gracie Abrams – touring next summer, is open Lolla weekend.

Half Alive – Touring in 2025 across the US and is playing Detroit and Madison but conveniently skipping Chicago.

Magdalena Bay – Last played in 2023, has a spring tour that hits Madison and Detroit but conveniently skips Chicago.

Olivia Rodrigo – She’s playing multiple Lolla international festivals in 2025, has never played Lolla Chicago, has an open schedule after mid-July. Confirmed to be playing Bonnaroo and Osheaga

Remi Wolf – Touring in 2025 across the US and is playing Indianapolis and Milwaukee but conveniently skipping Chicago. Confirmed to be playing Bonnaroo

Rüfüs Du Sol – touring all summer, playing Detroit and Indianapolis right around Lolla weekend.

TOSS-UPS:

Charli xcx – Definitely big enough for a headline and hasn’t played in several years, she’s also playing Coachella.

Fall Out Boy – They’re touring this summer and usually hit Riot Fest for Chicago-related festivals, but it would be sick for them to switch it up for Lolla this year. They’d also be a hometown act.

Green Day – They’re playing Coachella and Lollapalooza India, open schedule after early July.

Sabrina Carpenter – Has exploded since her appearance in 2023. Touring next year but no dates after July 5 in London. However, I don’t think we’d get Sabrina AND Olivia on the same bill, so I’d say it’s probably Olivia before Sabrina.

Tyler, The Creator – He’s floating around the Lolla Reddit quite frequently but it seems pretty early to re-book him, considering he dropped out last year. He’s also playing Osheaga.

Vampire Weekend – Hasn’t played Lolla since 2019, has tour dates in Europe starting mid-August, can definitely hit Lolla and other festivals before then. Confirmed to be playing Bonnaroo

GENERAL LINEUP PREDICTIONS:

Barry Can’t Swim

Bleachers – They haven’t played Lolla in YEARS and are playing Hinterland Iowa during the same (assumed) weekend as Lollapalooza.

Clairo – She hasn’t played Lollapalooza since 2018 and is playing Coachella. Also playing Hinterland Iowa during the same (assumed) weekend as Lollapalooza.

DJO – New album, Chicago-based artist.

Finneas – Playing Osheaga the same weekend as Lollapalooza, which we historically share a lot of the same lineup with.

FKA Twigs

Foster The People – Confirmed to be playing Bonnaroo. Played Chicago on 2/15, but that’s plenty of time to return.

Gigi Perez – Has had a huge year and is landing on several lineups. Only caveat is she is touring with Hozier, who was at Lolla last year, and also has a Chicago date at the end of July.

Glass Animals – Confirmed to be playing Bonnaroo and Osheaga the same weekend as Lollapalooza, which we historically share a lot of the same lineup with.
