I love that Anna explained how this song was written during a tumultuous time in her life and I think it’s a track that any 20-something can relate to. Plus it’s catchy.

Wow, she finally did it. She got me to love a song of hers! I haven’t been that into any of Ariana Grande’s stuff since “No Tears Left To Cry” and I was definitely skeptical starting to listen to this album. I didn’t like this song on its first listen, but when I went back I realized how much I actually do like it. I think it’s my favorite on the album so far – but that doesn’t mean much since i only like 4 out of the 12 songs,=,
“Portland” – Armors
Release Date – February 8
“Heart Attack Kid” – Ben Kweller

“Lost” – Blake Rose

“Shut Up” – Greyson Chance

“Hollow” – Hounded, Panama

Right when I started this song for the first time I was instantly hooked. I think it’s my favorite song of the week. It’s a weird mesh of Bon Iver’s vocals and production that reminds me of Maggie Rogers’ album and St. Lucia. Really into it and I’m excited to explore more from this artist, whom I have never heard of.
“Truly Known” – Leah Nobel
Release Date – February 8
“Road” – Mark Diamond
Release Date – February 8
“Jesseye’ Lisabeth” – Mercury Rev ft. Phoebe Bridgers
Release Date – February 8
“Buoy” – Panda Bear
Release Date – February 8
“Like I Remember You” – Vera Blue
Release Date – February 8
Vera collaborated Julia Stone (who does backup vocals) and later decided to release the song with Greenpeace for their “People vs. Oil” campaign – which is already cool in itself. The song fits perfectly wth the rest of her sound and I’m happy to hear new music from her this year.
“My Death” – Y La Bamba
Release Date – February 8
