Year End Lists

My 119 Favorite Songs of 2019

It’s honestly so weird and terrifying to think that another year is coming to a close. It feels like just yesterday I was crafting the list of my favorite songs of 2018. While I do think that last year had better music overall, this year has shaped up to be an interesting one in terms of what is going to end up on my favorite album list (I have 19 solidified as of now, but I’m still working out the order). Last year I ordered my top 10 favorite songs, this year I wanted to make it a bit longer, so it’s at 25 right now. I’ve been listening to this playlist in its entirety nonstop, and so many of these tracks could have been included in the top 25. It’s also really tricky to make these sorts of lists when songs come out towards the end of the year compared to January or February, as it gets harder to figure out if you like a song more because you’ve known had more time to sit with it, etc. I digress.

Here we go!

  • Top 25 songs are listed at the top
  • The rest of the list follows, in alphabetical order, not in a ranked list
  • The playlist is also in alphabetical order and doesn’t follow the way I ranked them
