Summer may still be a few months off, but Tripper and the Wild Things’ new single surf rock-inspired single “Boomerang Kids” will have listeners clamoring for warmth of the season, and the nostalgia that typically comes alongside it.
The Canadian quartet formed in 2019, and are based out of Hamilton, Ontario. Their new single, which was released March 25, shares a name with the band’s EP. Tripper and the Wild Things previously released “Juno,” the debut single from the EP, in December 2020.
The five-track EP “Boomerang Kids” was released on March 26, a day after the identically-titled single.
The band said that their EP, and the song, are about the experience of becoming a young adult, and how they’ve discovered themselves as they’ve hit that age range.
