It’s hard to believe that 2024 will be my last opportunity to attend Lollapalooza in my 20s. It’s also WILD that this is our ninth year posting our predictions ahead of the lineup announcement, which typically happens during the 3rd week of March.
As per usual, we come up with these guesses based on our own research as well as intense sifting through the Lollapalooza Reddit Thread: Staged Haze will never take credit for everything listed below as the members of said thread do an incredible job sleuthing.
First update has been made on 1/12/2024 in light of new festival lineups dropping (Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, and Hangout Fest).
Headliners
Blink-182 – “2024 Summer Tour, Skips Chicago and is in the midwest around Lolla weekend” – Taken from Lolla Reddit Thread
Doja Cat – Doja had a big 2023, and she was supposed to play in 2022 but had to cancel due to having tonsil surgery
Dua Lipa – New music expected in 2024, but she was just at Lolla in 2022…so this could go either way.
Hozier – Announced 2024 dates and isn’t hitting Chicago, and he will be in the midwest close to Lolla rumored dates.
SZA – Has never played Lolla and is headlining Osheaga, along with Green Day and Noah Kahan (we usually share one of their headliners and a LOT of their undercards, which haven’t been released yet).
Vampire Weekend – Teasing new music, playing Kilby Block Party, and last played Lollapalooza in 2018. 2/16 update – Vampire Weekend just announced a North American tour and will be playing in Chicago about a week out from Lollapalooza (this personally hurts me).
Sub-headliners
boygenius – They are a bit of a toss up….no 2024 dates scheduled as of now, but they can also end up on the Pitchfork lineup as well.
Caroline Polachek – Became a bit more mainstream in 2023, but she could also end up at Pitchfork. However, she did play Lollapalooza in 2016 as half the musical duo Chairlift.
Death Cab For Cutie – Touring in 2024, including midwest dates, skipping Chicago.
Janelle Monáe – No tour dates in 2024 as of 12/30. Was last at Lollapalooza in 2019.
Khruangbin – Playing Bonnaroo and Boston Calling, but they’re touring in EU end of July… – 1/29 UPDATE – They announced a handful of shows in the US, including three Chicago dates in June.
Troye Sivan – Doesn’t have any US tour dates scheduled for 2024 and has a ton of European dates in June.

Between Friends
Blondshell – Had a big 2023, playing other festivals, BUT she will be in Europe starting on August 7.
Briston Maroney – New album and is touring in 2024 through April, he was also featured in Lolla’s 2020 livestream.
Chappell Roan – She is touring with Olivia Rodrigo so there could be an issue in regards to a radius clause, but she’s the opening act, so I think that’s a loophole. AND she’s playing Bonnaroo, Hangout Fest, and Boston Calling.
D4VD – Playing Bonnaroo and Boston Calling.
David Kushner – He’s playing Hangout Fest, Boston Calling, AND Bonnaroo.

Dominic Fike – Playing Bonnaroo
Doechii – Playing Hangout Fest
Ethel Cain
Flyana Boss
Friko – They’re a local Chicago band so it makes sense that they’d land on the lineup.
Grouplove – Playing Bonnaroo, BUT they’re playing a Chicago show mid March, could be affected by Lolla’s radius clause.
The Japanese House – Has been touring in support of 2023 album and last played Lolla in 2017.
Jeremy Zucker – Toured in support of new EP in 2023
Jessie Ware
Kevin Abstract – Hasn’t played as a solo artist but was last there in 2021 with Brockhampton.
Lizzy McAlpine
The Maine – They’re playing Bonnaroo and haven’t played Lollapalooza before. They’re a pop punk band who have become pretty mainstream over the last several years.
Medium Build – Playing Bonnaroo
Melanie Martinez – Announced more dates in 2024 and is skipping Chicago.
Michigander – Is a Chicago band and playing Bonnaroo
Misterwives
Olivia Dean
Peter McPoland – Wasn’t playing festivals in 2023 so it makes sense he may start now that he’s done touring his recent album.

Samia – Released an album in 2023 and is on the road with Bleachers through June

Tate McRae – Touring in 2024, skips Chicago, in midwest during early August.
