A24 Music Taps Paramore, Lorde, And Other Heavy Hitters For A Tribute to Talking Heads’ “Stop Making Sense”

A24 Music just dropped exciting news with “Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Stop Making Sense,” featuring 16 fresh takes on the original LP by a diverse lineup of artists.

The anticipation started three weeks ago when A24 teased the cover album with a clip of Paramore covering “Burning Down the House.” Fans were left buzzing, speculating about other featured artists—(I even made some predictions on my TikTok).

This tribute album celebrates the recent 4K re-release of Jonathan Demme’s iconic concert film and the 40th anniversary of its soundtrack. A24’s global revival not only set IMAX records but also turned theaters into dance parties, reimagining the film with brilliant artists, showcasing generational and stylistic diversity at select residencies. Notably, it reunited Talking Heads’ core members on stage, sparking conversations about the legendary film and album.

A24 kicked off a new theatrical residency for *the film* on Jan. 27th, with monthly screenings on tap in such cities as Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco leading into the 40th anniversary of its original premiere this summer.

The roster of artists lending their unique perspectives to these classics is impressive, including BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, The Cavemen., Chicano Batman Feat. Money Mark, DJ Tunez, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, The National, Teezo Touchdown, and Toro y Moi.

While details about the album’s release date and artist-song pairings are pending, the lineup alone is enough to get you hyped. Plus, you can already listen to Paramore’s full cover of “Burning Down the House” here.
