Similar to an “ex” you only dated for a week, you won’t be able to shake Comfort Club’s newest single out of your head. Released just in time for Valentine’s Day, the track is the Los Angeles-based’s first new release of 2025. In “I Think I Love You,” Comfort Club fixates on the feeling of falling head over heels without even realizing it’s happening.
Starting fresh after a long tour of his debut album Fear Of Moving On, Comfort Club took ‘New Year, New Me’ to heart with his new single. It starts with a short and sweet first verse, which then drops you right into a catchy chorus, truly emulating the feelings that comes with realizing you’re in love. The simplicity of the song is intentional and it contrasts really well with the feelings that he wants to drum up within the listener.
Singing about relationships can be hard because it’s a hot topic for musicians. However, Comfort Club does a wonderful job navigating convoluted feelings and building a new experience for audiences. His goal for this single was to create a fun sing-along, but also be able to dive into his interest in the complexities of relationships. The gentleness of his voice pairs well with the warmth of the guitar, stirring up fuzzy feelings while listening. “I Think I Love You” is also fully self-produced, further strengthening the connection between the artist and the music.
Storytelling is such an integral part of creating music, and Comfort Club seems to really incorporate that in lyrics and with his evolution of songs. Up until now, there has been more of a longing in his music with singles like ‘Not Over Falling For You Yet’ and his last album Fear Of Moving On, while “I Think I Love You” is quite a 180 from all of the past music marking what’s to come a new era for him. Comfort Club expressed “I think love is the reason I’m on the planet so I’m always going to be trying to better understand it and music is one of the ways I try to do that!”
Following the release of this single, Comfort Club is going to have a release show on Valentine’s Day at Permanent Records Roadhouse in LA. Check out tickets HERE.
“I Think I Love You” is out now.
