In chronological order:
“La Perla” – Rosalía
Release date – November 7
Rosalía’s new album LUX is honestly a masterpiece front to back, but “La Perla” is one of those songs that immediately jumps out. The guitar at the beginning is so cute and simple, almost like you’re suddenly on vacation, but once you actually pay attention to the lyrics, they are brutal. That contrast is so fun and so Rosalía. Bringing in Yahritza y Su Esencia, the sibling trio behind the viral heartbreak hit “Soy El Único,” adds this raw, emotional edge that fits perfectly. The whole thing feels like two different voices calling out the same chaotic man from their own angles. And the fact that this is the only LUX track she has performed live so far, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, makes it feel like she is intentionally spotlighting it.
The Fallon performance made the song land even harder. Rosalía performed on top of a stack of soft white mattresses, basically giving Princess and the Pea energy in the most modern, surreal way. She wore a stunning white dress that made her look straight-up princess coded, and behind her was a gorgeous orchestra filled with strings, percussion, and layers of live instrumentation building a bigger emotional world around the song. She held and played with a single pearl while she sang, turning the moment into a little piece of symbolism, like she was literally holding the metaphor in her hand. Yahritza y Su Esencia were not part of the performance, but even solo, she created something absolutely breathtaking. And if this is a preview of what a LUX tour could look like, I would absolutely go into debt to see it live. “La Perla” just proves yet again that Rosalía is operating on a level entirely her own. – Jesse
“Dopamine” – Robyn
Release date – November 12
I’m definitely not the first person to say that I’ve been a Robyn fan for basically 10+ years at this point, and I certainly know there are hundreds of thousands of bigger Robyn fans than myself, but I have been riding for this woman since I first discovered her greatness back in the 2010s. She had been around for awhile at that point, but I was still fairly early into my discovery of music as a teenager. She’s pretty much a household name in Europe, but I really hope she finds a resurgence of success in the states with her new music that’s inevitably following the release of her newest single, “Dopamine.”
Aside from a few features and remixes, “Dopamine” is Robyn’s first new song since the release of her 2018 album, Honey, and I truly think it stands as one of the songs that make her quintessentially “Robyn.” Co-written with Klas Åhlund (who also co-produced) and none other than Taio Cruz, “Dopamine” hits all the notes of a hit dance song: euphoric production, catchy lyrics, and a melody that makes you want to get off your butt and dance. Considering Robyn herself noted that she’s been working on this song for “almost a decade,” it was absolutely well worth the wait, and I have a feeling it’ll be satisfying to lifelong Robyn fans and new fans alike.

“Chains Of Love” – Charli xcx
Release date – November 13
I guess it’s time for brat winter? Charli xcx’s newest single, “Chains of Love,” is the second of two singles that have been released in support of the 2026 movie “Wuthering Heights.” Both songs will be featured on the companion album for the movie, which was inspired after director Emerald Fennell asked Charli to compose a single song for the soundtrack.
“Chains of Love” is absolutely still very “Charli,” but has more emotional turmoil than her 2024 hit album brat, and more of a melodically-driven song, which honestly reminded me of some of Charli’s older music, including “Cross You Out” and “Thoughts,” both from her 2019 album Charli. There is a cinematic element to “Chains of Love” that feel bigger than her previous work, but still very “her,” which makes perfect sense: the song was co-written and co-produced by Finn Keane and Justin Raisen, two of Charli’s frequent collaborators. Although I truly love brat and think it was probably Charli’s best work, I’m very much anticipating the “Wuthering Heights” companion album, which is set to drop on the same day as the movie: February 13, 2026. – Kristin
“Midnight Sun” – Zara Larsson, Muni Long
Release date – November 14
Midnight Sun” was already one of the year’s undeniable pop moments, the kind of song that catches fire on its own and refuses to let go. When Zara Larsson started teasing a surprise collab on TikTok, fans immediately began connecting the dots. The reveal of a new version featuring Muni Long felt like the exact right move at the exact right time. The remix leans into the song’s glow, taking a track that was already everywhere and giving it a fresh spark without losing what made it a hit in the first place. I love how in the first verse Zara uses the phrase “touch grass,” which ties back to the theme of the album and her connection to nature, making the moment feel both playful and intentional.
Muni Long’s presence only amplifies the magic. She is one of the most versatile voices in modern R&B and pop, equally known for her razor-sharp songwriting for artists like Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and Fifth Harmony and for her own smoldering hits like “Hrs & Hrs.” On “Midnight Sun,” she slides in effortlessly, adding warmth, attitude, and that unmistakable Muni confidence. The two sound incredible together in the last minute of the song, their voices weaving into a glowing, late-night crescendo that takes the remix to an even higher place. Zara and Muni prove that a perfectly timed remix can feel less like an add-on and more like a true evolution. – Jesse
“Changing” – Kevin Jonas
Release date – November 20
A rare kind of pop-culture moment unfolded this month, the kind where an artist long known for one role steps forward and completely reframes the narrative. That artist was Kevin Jonas, who released his first solo single and immediately set the internet on fire. TikTok flooded with clips of his live debut of “Changing,” capturing everything from Kevin’s nerves to the emotional reaction in the crowd. His wife and daughters were seen crying, longtime Kevin girls were shouting we knew this all along, and the room had that collective oh wow, he can SING pause that only happens when someone exceeds every expectation.
Now that “Changing” is officially out, it feels perfectly aligned with the Jonas Brothers’ polished pop instincts while carving out space for Kevin to finally hold his own. The chorus is instantly catchy and topped with what can only be described as the genetic Jonas Brothers falsetto, that signature airy lift fans know by heart, and he delivers it with total confidence. Co-written by JHart, Jason Evigan, Mark Schick, and pop powerhouse Sarah Hudson, whose credits include Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” and Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande’s “Get On Your Knees,” the track is clean, emotional, and quietly triumphant. It proves what fans have been saying for years: Kevin’s voice has depth, warmth, and presence, and given the right song, he absolutely shines. Here’s hoping this is just the beginning of a full Kevin era. – Jesse
“Say My Name In Your Sleep” – Maisie Peters
Release date – November 21
When I saw that Maisie Peters was teasing a new collaboration with Marcus Mumford, I knew we were in for a real treat. “Say My Name In Your Sleep” is what I’d like to call an understated diss track, a song that (assumingly) is about a break-up and the mixed feelings that come with moving on and accepting that the relationship is over, and that everyone involved is going to be better off. But that doesn’t really make an interesting song, and we all have felt some sort of bitterness after a relationship meets its end.
“‘Say My Name In Your Sleep’ is a song about both haunting and being haunted,” she said in a statement of the song’s meaning. “It’s about keeping a constant eye on the past – on the person you loved – whilst being old enough and grown enough to know it wasn’t right, and to wish them all the best. It’s about having a tiny, secret sliver of your heart that still, deep down, hopes and prays they think of you – just a little, just when it’s dark, just when they hear that song on the radio. It’s about letting go, begrudgingly, but letting your shadow linger a moment too long.”
Co-written by Mumford, as well as co-produced by Ian Fitchuk, who is probably most well-known for his collaborations with Kacey Musgraves, but who has also worked with other major artists including Beyoncé, Leon Bridges, Maggie Rogers, and Role Model (to say a few, to be honest), “Say My Name In Your Sleep” is a new and fresh sound for Peters, who has found success with her previous releases such as The Good Witch (2023) and You Signed Up For This (2021). It feels like a more mature route for her, more acoustic leaning and less bubblegum pop. I look forward to seeing where she goes from here, and it’s clear that she has access to some of the biggest names in music to bounce ideas off of moving forward.
