Ever since I saw Molly Grace open the final day of All Things Go in DC back in September, I’ve been fully on board with her whole thing. The track was produced by The Orphanage, the team behind songs for Lizzo, Kelly Clarkson and Kehlani. It was co-written with Josie Dunne, whose work on the Matoma track “Sunday Morning” I love, and Dan Fernandez, known for working closely with TikTok breakout artist corook. It is a tight, talented group and the final product sounds exactly as polished and fun as you would expect.
According to Molly, “Bow Wow” marks the beginning of her next era. She calls it bolder and more playful, which is exactly how it lands. The song came out of being played so badly that humor became the only response that made sense. The production nods to early 2000s pop with bright synths and crisp drums, but it still feels current. The lyrics are sharp and self-aware, and she delivers them with a wink that keeps everything light and engaging.
The chorus is especially sticky. It hits right away and lingers for hours after. The track has so much energy pulsing through it that it practically dares you not to move. It is upbeat and fun, but Molly’s vocal tone gives it more depth than a standard bubblegum pop moment.

The music video expands that world even further. It immediately reminded me of the pastel trailer park vibe in Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down,” but Molly brings something a little edgier. She lounges in a fur coat with rollers in her hair, tattoos fully visible, cigarette in hand and a dog on a leash beside an Airstream trailer. The entire visual is campy and exaggerated in the best way. She looks completely comfortable inside that universe, which makes it even more fun to watch.
What makes “Bow Wow” stand out is its balance. It is playful without being flimsy, polished without losing personality. Molly’s confidence ties everything together. She delivers the jokes, the vocals and the attitude in a way that feels natural and intentional. It is the kind of song that can turn casual listeners into fans.
If this really is the start of her next chapter, she is entering it with clarity and charisma. “Bow Wow” proves Molly Grace knows what kind of pop she wants to make and is embracing it fully. The result is catchy, energetic and full of personality, which is exactly what pop should feel like.
