Festival season is alive and well: and we know it better than anyone else. We just wrapped up our weekend at Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City, and next up, we’re heading to Spain for to attend our second Primavera Sound Barcelona, which kicks off on June 3, 2026 and concludes on June 7, 2026.
Founded in 2001, Primavera Sound has become one of the largest and most-attended music festivals in Europe and the biggest overall in the Mediterranean. Known as “the Coachella of Europe,” Primavera Sound has featured some of the biggest names in pop and alternative music, and several of Staged Haze’s favorites, including Charli xcx, Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan, Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala, and more. Additionally, Primavera Sound became the world’s first major music festival to achieve gender-equal lineups under the tagline “The New Normal” back in 2019.
This year’s lineup boasts many of the biggest names in pop music right now, including Doja Cat, Addison Rae, Rolde model, PinkPantheress, and more.
Check out some of our lineup highlights below and see you at Parc del Fòrum!

Fcukers
Unfortunately I’m late to the Fcukers party, but I’m here now and that’s all that matters. Formed in 2022 by Shanny Wise (vocals) and Jackson Walker Lewis (bass, keys, and production), the New York-based duo have been releasing music for several years and collaborating with the likes of James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem and even opened for Tame Impala last year. They’ll also be supporting Harry Styles on tour this July: a pretty impressive feat for a group that just released their debut album, Ö, this past March. As we continue to see electronic acts like Ninajirachi, Underscores, and horsegiirL break out to more mainstream audiences, even crossing over into pop territory, it makes sense why Fcukers have become a part of the conversation, too. – Kristin
Florence Road
Irish four-piece band Florence Road have become one of my personal artists to watch in the indie rock space following the release of their latest EP, Spring Forward, which dropped this past March. The band also opened for The Last Dinner Party on select dates of their North American tour following a very successful headlining tour in the UK last year. The band is made up of childhood friends, Lily Aron (Vocals), Emma Brandon (Guitar), Ailbhe Barry (Bass) and Hannah Kelly (Drums), who started making music together in Aron’s shed as teenagers. Their debut at Primavera Sound Barcelona is sure to give them a broader audience, and I’m looking forward to see what comes next for them. – Kristin
Oklou
Newcomer, Marylou Vanina Mayniel, otherwise known as Oklou, has put in the hours and the work. Her 2025 debut album, choke enough, set the tone for what is sure to be a lasting career in music. With a background in classical training, Oklou’s artistic sensibilities are infused with thoughtfulness and intention, two elements consistently on display in her sound. In an interview with A.G. Cook for Interview Magazine last year, she said, “with my artist friends, it feels like the ultimate goal is this quest for purity, for the most sincere thing you could ever do.” In a world so consumed with being cringe, I’m so excited to have an artist like Oklou who loudly worships at the altar of sincerity and I can’t wait to see interpreted for the Primavera stage. – Ilana
Overmono
Sibling duo Overmono are not new to the music industry, but are a great example of how two artists can be great on their own, but even mightier together. After enjoying a slow build of fandom through the UK dance scene over the past decade, they have come to be an unyielding force in the electronic landscape. Their signature is their ability to completely reimagine samples of other electronic favorites like Tirzah, Miraa May, and Aluna, and create an entirely different masterpiece. They released their debut album, Good Lies, in May 2023, and are following that up with the August 2026 release of Pure Devotion. In the meantime, they too will be making their Primavera Sound debut, satiating what is sure to be a salivating crowd. – Ilana
TV Girl
San Diego hyper-pop band, TV Girl, will be making their Primavera Sound debut this year. The trio came to be known across the world from their explosive hit, “Lover’s Rock,” off of their 2014 album French Exit. The band experienced a resurgence, as many do, after a viral TikTok trend using the song brought them into the consciousness of a younger generation. The group consisting of three mainstay members are no strangers to the festival stage, having performed at Scotland’s Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Berlin’s Columbiahalle, and more. While their most recent albums have been collaborative with other artists, the band’s thoughtful but frenetic sound will be a perfect match for Primavera’s energetic audience and Spain’s warmth. – Ilana
FRIDAY
Amaarae
Amaarae, a Ghanaian-American pop star, has had the African Pop genre in her grasp since her debut album, THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW, which dropped in 2020. Album after album, she’s continued to show the power of her talents, and on her most recent project, BLACKSTAR, it almost felt like she was planting a flag on Planet History, exemplifying that she is an unmovable force in this industry. Her music is bombastic, prideful, and culturally authentic: the audience is surely in for a celebration of her prowess. – Ilana
Ethel Cain
In an article for The Cut last year, the headline included the prediction that Ethel Cain’s album, “Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You may be the last we hear from Ethel Cain. But Hayden Anhedönia isn’t going anywhere.” Cain nullified this forecasting when it was announced Cain will be a featured act at this year’s festival, and several other mainstay festivals around the globe. If WTIALY is Cain’s last project, fans will be expectantly anticipating, and surely will cherish, the closure of this chapter with her upcoming performance. – Ilana
PinkPantheress
One of the most unassailable dance artists and producers to come out of the last decade is none other than England’s own PinkPantheress, who’s no stranger to the festival stage after splashing onto the scene back in 2020. Pink’s ability to not only harness her creativity, but create some of the most danceable songs in contemporary music during one the world’s darkest times, makes her a lighthouse for joy through movement. Her prowess was recognized in February of this year when she took home the Brit Award for British Producer of the Year. While we don’t yet know what is specifically in store for Pink’s Primavera performance, her recent festival performances where she brought out Zara Larsson, HorsegiirL, and The Dare tell us the set will be full of a huge dance romp for existing fans and new fans alike. – Ilana
Ralphie Choo
Ralphie Choo, the Spanish avant garde producer and singer, is making his Primavera grand entrance this year. The Fader described his debut album SUPERNOVA as, “a gleeful collision of genres—trap and classical, flamenco and Auto-Tuned balladry—all existing in remarkable harmony.” While not his hometown, the Barcelona performance should be some kind of a homecoming, as he has done so much to import and ingratiate new sounds into something mostly unfamiliar to a Spanish audience. – Ilana
Rilo Kiley
Indie rock luminaries Rilo Kiley triggered seismic waves among millennials when they announced a reunion tour in 2025, in preparation for their appearance at Just Like Heaven festival, after disbanding almost two decades ago. Now they’re generously running it back for fans who waited with bated breath for the band to literally get back together, performing shows in London and finally, Primavera Sound. – Ilana
SATURDAY
Dijon
These last couple of years have been quite the whirlwind for LA based singer, songwriter, producer, and Mk.Gee’s best friend, Dijon. He co-produced and featured on Justin Bieber’s critically acclaimed seventh studio album, SWAG. He released his own sophomore album, BABY, also to much critical fanfare, named after his firstborn child Baby! He’s been making the festival rounds after kicking this spring off with Coachella and supporting Zach Bryan on his “With Heaven on Tour” for reasons I can’t really understand, but I’m sure a lot of people do appreciate. While once a more obscure name in neo-R&B (not sure if that’s a formal term but we’re gonna go with it) Dijon been launched closer to the foreground of American music and I have no doubts this summer will be more evidence of his certain longevity. – Ilana
Lambrini Girls
I admittedly only discovered Lambrini Girls earlier this year after deep diving into the Coachella lineup, only to find out that they couldn’t make the festival due to lead singer and guitarist Phoebe Lunny sustaining a fractured neck and an acute brain injury. Luckily, it looks like Phoebe will be able to recover for their set at Primavera Sound Barcelona, which will inevitably be a triumphant return to the stage following a traumatic few weeks. The group, comprised of Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez, are outspokenly political in their music, often touted as the Gen Z of British punk music, reigniting the Riot Grrrl music era for the next generation. Their music is often so controversial with the conservative politicians of the world, that many fans speculated that their Visas may have been revoked before their now canceled Coachella set, so it’s safe to say that their performance at Primavera Sound is bound to ruffle some feathers. – Kristin
Little Simz
Thought provoking multi-disciplinary English rapper, actor, fashion aficionado Little Simz will be taking the Primavera stage in June following a whirlwind year, thanks to the success of her 2025 album, Lotus. However, I think most would agree Simz has been on a run since her formidable showcase on 2021’s Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. No wonder how prolific the lyricist has become: she has a firm grasp on her perspective and creative inspiration. In an interview with NYLON earlier this year she says, “If the tap’s flowing, I think you’ve got to just keep that momentum, because once you stop, it’s really hard to get back into it.” Knowing her, the well will never really run dry, and we’re all lucky enough to catch some of the mist. – Ilana
Peggy Gou
Korean born, Berlin based, world-class dance music DJ, and sunglasses designer, Peggy Gou, will be gracing the Primavera Stage this year and I cannot wait. After releasing music for years, 2023 saw the debut of her first official album, I Hear You to wide acclaim. Considering how long she was releasing music without an official LP, it’s impressive to see how much of an impact she made on dance music for over ten years. Peggy is no stranger to the Primavera stage, after performing in 2024 to a rupturous crowd, she’ll be returning for an encore. – Ilana
Sudan Archives
I covered violin prodigy and singer, Sudan Archives strikingly clubby 2025 album, The BPM last year, so I’m particularly excited to see her take the Primavera stage. This album being so dance-centric and steamy, making it the perfect match for a summer performance by the beach. Her transition to festival stages this summer comes off the heels of a massive North American tour that began in the fall of 2025 and carried her through February of 2026. What better way to let loose than a worldwide festival tour? – Ilana
